Land Back isn’t just about land. It’s about reconnection.
As Jared Qwustenuxun Williams shares:
"I’ve not met any person who is not envious of the direct link that First Nation people have to the land because they want it too. Their souls, their genes, their ancestors are screaming to reconnect – and that reconnection is Land Back, that reconnection is water back. Not for me, not for you – for all."
Too often, Land Back is misunderstood as a movement of possession or exclusion. In truth, it’s about returning to relationship – with land, with water, with each other.
