About Me
Janine Bradley is a mixed ancestry Coast Salish person, specifically from the Snuneymuxw (Nanaimo) Nation on Gabriola Island. Janine holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Victoria. She has conducted hundreds of Plant walks and Indigenous Cultural Talks for adults, teens, and children within the Sooke and Victoria School Districts since 2021.
I would like to acknowledge that we reside on the unceded shared territory of the Coast Salish people including the Malahat nation, lək̓ʷəŋən nations, W̱SÁNEĆ people, T’Sou-ke Nation, and the Scia’new nation. I thank those people for being the stewards of this land for thousands of years and today. I am so thankful for the opportunity to live, work, and learn upon this amazing land and hope to learn to treat it with the amount of respect our Indigenous peoples have always show it. Hych’ka siem.
Logo by Dahlila Charlie

Hello! I’m Dahlila Charlie, a Coast Salish artist from Vancouver Island, BC. I create artworks that carry stories, teachings, and reflections of my culture. Through painting and design, I share the strength and continuity of Coast Salish traditions in a contemporary way.
My work has been featured in exhibitions, publications, and collections. Each piece I create is an act of connection between: the past and present, land and people, colour and conversation.
I strive to continue growing my practice, learning from my community, and creating art that celebrates who we are and where we come from.
This logo brings together core ideas of care, reciprocity, and land-based knowledge. Its forms and colours were intentionally created to reflect the resilience of Coast Salish design, the teachings passed down through generations, and the deep connection to the land.
